KDE 3.4 liberado

Ya está a nuestra disposición la nueva versión del entorno grafico KDE, el cual está diseñado para plataformas basadas en el sistema UNIX, como Suse, Mandrake o Red-Hat.

Esta versión, cuenta con numerosas mejoras, entre las que cabe destacar el KPDF, similar al Acrobat Reader, y que esta vez cuenta con numerosas prestaciones como búscar de texto, seleccionarlo y copiarlo al portapapeles, archivo o imagen.

Aunque posiblemente una de las implementaciones más importantes es el KTTS, un sintetizador de voz a través del cual cualquier programa de KDE puede leer un texto, muy similar al Microsoft Sam. También se han hecho mejoras en la manejabilidad, aunque es uno de los principales objetivos para el próximo KDE 4.0.

Su programa de mensajería instantánea Copete, también ha sufrido importantes cambios, así como de su explorador, Konqueror.
